Warwick introduces Trujillo Streamer

Sorry.... I am even more confused now.

Stevens and Hellborg are endorsees. Does Warwick pay them anything beyond free or discounted gear? I could care either way, but your 2 comments below are completely contradictory.

Warwick do not pay any of their endorsees a cent, regardless of who it is.You can take this info as official,as I represent Warwick online.
Warwick dont send out cheques to all the people on the endorsment list. That's what I'm trying to say, basically.
Other arrangements, like the contract with TM stevens,or Jonas Hellborg,is just that.A contract, seperate from their endorsement.

Teenagers are stupid and don't matter... all they do is walk into GC with their sticky fingers and ruin the finish on the instruments, making people who would buy one less attracted to it, i'd say teenagers are the problem.

Also i don't understand this model of warwick, its chrome, but i dunno i thought the point of a warwick was nice wood and MEC's not EMGs.

Seems like its going after the teenage metalhead market, i can't see anybody else buying it.....

:scowl:

Dude. Not cool, and most of all not true. There are a lot of decent teenage bass players out there who honestly go to shops looking to buy. I currently have no cash as of now, but when I do I want to go to the shop that had the nice bass I wanted and the store that treated me right.

You actually sound like the stereotypical GC employee... :rollno:

Check my band link buddy;) trust me i'm a college student in music and have always been a gear nut, last thing i like is being treated like a kid in a music store, especially since a good portion of the time i know more then the salesman.

Just sayin. I hate being treated like a kid in a music store. I'm a gear nut too. But they'll be like "Wo lil dude, that bass is sure expensive!" I have to hold back the smart@$$ comments but they sure ain't warnin me by the end of my visit at their store, after they see my mad skills! :P (Pretty much playing higher ground once :D)

Good thing you know more than the salesman cuz he might talk you into a crappy chrome turd bass with EMG's :D

Not once did i state it was crap. I'm sure that bass plays amazing, and i play an ollllld bass with emgs love the sound, come to think of it EMGs have a pretty good tone IMO.

MECs seem to have an unmistakable growl, after all that IS the warwick sound isn't it?

My point was only well, i don't see much warwick in this warwick.

Where is the Yamaha he developed? Okay...endorsement crazy are we?

Yep- he farms himself out to EVERY brand he can, asking each one to try to exactly replicate his Washburn he loves, so he's been through Yamaha, Fender, Zon, Rickenbacker, Warwick, on and on and on (there are a couple more that are escaping me at the moment). So they make him exactly what he wants, then he doesn't like it because it doesn't sound exactly like his Washburn, so he has them make all sorts of changes, then he leaves and goes to another brand. He doesn't even go to brands who make something similar- he just sort of goes wherever he can. Hence why his signature Zon had EMG J's and a wood neck, and his Rickenbacher had J's.

I don't understand why he just doesn't use his freaking Washburn and stop wasting people's time.

^^ This is what I was getting at.
It isnt a true warwick. Its a chrome turd. I dont have anything against EMG (unless we're talking guitar). But if I want a EMG bass this is certainly the last one I would waste money on. When you could get a spector thats similar in looks and already comes with EMG's.

Ok, I'll break it down real easy for you. I'm a long time warwick forum poster so here's what I know.

Endorsees pay their basses, at cost price (same as a dealer if you want). Endorsees get paid for ads they do (like in a magazine). Endorsees with signature models don't touch money on their German produced signature models. Endorsees with a signature model will get some money off their model an off shore signature line warwick will release some day.

Exactly! This is what our friend humpy thumb should have articulated. Not, "Warwick do not pay any of their endorsees a cent, regardless of who it is."

OF COURSE Warwick pays their endorsees. Maybe not to physically play Warwick basses, but for print ads, appearances, etc.

Thanks for clarifying.:)
