Warwick introduces Trujillo Streamer

I like the bass but I think he should of stuck with Zon. If Warwick wanted to make a metal signature bass so bad why didn't they make a Ryan Martine (Mudvayne) signature bass. at least he plays Warwicks.

I think Rob Trujillo might be the "Dimebag Darrell" of bassists. The guy has 3-4 sig basses, plus string, amp, and pedal endorsement out the wazoo.

That said, if I had half as many endorsements as him, I would feel like I "made it". I wouldn't play his Warwick, I like his Zon siggy better. But, kudos to him for having such a recognizable name that all these companies that endorsing him is a good advertising investment.

Bingo. And this guy plays more different brands than anyone I can think of off hand. Fender, Fernandez, Yamaha, Ric, Warwick, Zon, I am sure an odd Ibby and Spector worked their way in somewhere. He plays what he likes, he likes a lot od stuff and they come to him because the metallica name sells crap, good and bad.

That being said, I don't think the finish, etc, is bad, but Warwick makes some of the ugliest basses. Then again, most higher end companies do.

Warwick signature models are stupid expensive. Seriously, who in their right mind is going to drop $5000-9000 for a TM Stevens signature (cool graphics, though) or a Stuart Zender (kinda neat new CNC work)?

Cool for $2000-2500 MSRP... not for $8995 MSRP.

As for the bass itself, I've never been a fan of Warwick chrometone
and am confused by the decision to have a one piece bridge and EMGs.

It says EMG Pickups with a Bartolini preamp. I thought EMG pickups only worked with EMG Preamps.

EMG will work with a lot of pre-amps, although I'm not sure which don't work or need modifications. I thought Audere will work, but you can't use the Z Modes. From what I've heard, Bartolini's smoothness is about one of the few pre-amps that can "tame" EMG pickups.

I quite like the looks of the bass actually. Specs are quite nice too, would change the EMGs to Barts though. Also, don't like the neck too much. Used to use the Trujillo signature strings too.

So.... someone like TM Stevens helps design a Warwick bass (graphics at least) and does print media and ads for Warwick... and doesn't get paid anything?

Unless he is given a very large quantity of his signature bass for free... I don't get it.

I know a previous Warwick bass endorser (not a household name, but toured with one) that had many Warwick basses and even a few Framus guitars. Not sure if he actually recieved a cheque from Warwick, but he sure had a load of Warwick instruments in his basement that he couldn't afford to buy.

I'm not an endorsee.I own 1 Warwick bass,that I bought new,after selling my previous Warwick,also bought new.
I moderate their forum.That's about it,basically.

Then how do I know they didn't pay you to say that?
