bassvi earlier on this thread has the fretless. Anyone else? Warwick.de have them listed in their webshop as in stock (if thats what the green dot means; or maybe only possible to order...) I still have to check with the Scandinavian distributor if they stock any. No shops in my area have them.

I bought a fretless version recently. Really nice! I've been looking for suggestions for flatwounds to try on it but online info is scarce.

Put some flatwounds on it and continued tweaking setup....loving it now! I still find I'm more comfortable on my Tony Franklin but the Bruce is a pretty cool bass. The pickups and preamp offer lots of versatility...I may still end up taking it to a tech for final setup, the Bridge system is one of the trickiest I've ever worked with. Got the action nice and low now though, nice mwah. The fingerboard is more narrow than on the Franklin P, and the mahogany gives it a rather Gibson like tone...though with the active eq it can certainly put out crystal clear highs. The thing that suprised me most is it actually can cop an Eb3 ish tone not unlike Bruce's late 60's early 70's sound...with the blend rolled towards the bridge pup and digging in this thing barks. Rolled towards the neck it is super deep. I think this bass takes some time to get to know.. Whereas my Fender is basically plug and play..

Which flats did you go with?
