Warwick Just-A-Nut III Brass

Warwick's online shop in Germany? Last time I looked there, admittedly a long time ago, the shipping was prohibitively high. Is that no longer the case?
Sorry for the late response - I haven't been around much... The price I gave was the total with shipping - yeah shipping was 1/4 the cost! I guess was just lucky because I just checked and the price is now 20 Euros higher, meaning it will probably end up about the same as you paid $120-ish.

I'm curious about the JANIII brass. I got the JANIII in some type of fiber 4 years ago. It broke as soon as I took it out of the mailing package but it still works. But if the new JANIII are brass again, I will just put my JANI brass back on. It worked fine but the JANIII gives a little more fine tuning. But not enough to warrant paying a lot for another one. Mine is for a 5-string Fortress One (1994) and both work just fine. Sorry I won't be selling either one though.

Another post, same subject. I have just spent three days 'tweeking' my 1994 Fortress One 5-string. Did all the usual things but decided to put the brass JAN I back on. I haven't used it for about 4 years. Strings are slightly higher with it as low as it will go. It had a lot of crud in it (being brass) so I had to clean it up and get it shinny again. Since it's set a tad higher I tried lowering the strings a tad at the bridge. But I added about 3/4 turn to the truss rod so the string height at the bridge is about the same. Seems to play just a little harder - not sure why. Same strings. I may have widened the separation just a little - I'll check on that. Anyway the original JAN I looks great and still functions as it was designed to do.

I had lowered the pups about 1/4 inch, but that took away my hold for my right hand thumb. That's what was making it feel harder to play. I raised the neck pup up where it was and now I have a larger place to push against with my thumb. Feels easier again, so hopefully that was all there was to it. I recently bought a new GK MB500 Fusion amp and a new GK 212 II NEO cab. All I can say is 'wow' this pairing really rocks. Makes my -94 sound new. With the tube gain on about 1 o'clock it really has a nice grind and growl. All EQ dials are flat and no contour used. Cab is evenly balanced between lows, mids, and highs. The tubey sound doesn't work as well with Fortress in passive mode. Really works well in active. It's new so I'm still experimenting.

View attachment 409704 I am so happy with my new Just-A-Nut III Brass!!! I installed it myself and I think it makes a worth while difference, plus it looks so cool!!
Perfect Nuts? I say yes. I bought a Corvette on Ebay which had the factory nut broken and in need of replacement. I was very angry and ordered the Brass Justanut III. I received it to the US from Warwick (Germany) in less than 3 weeks. I then found the Warwick You Tube video on how to change it out. Unbelievably simple and it worked perfectly within minutes. Take off truss rod cover, use a knife to pry off old nut and scrape off old glue. Add two drops of super glue and place new nut base on, line up evenly on neck edges and let dry for a few. In minutes you can string your bass and it looks simply fantastic and is fully adjustable. Incredible. Looks right at home with the bell brass frets that are also made of the exact same brass the nut is. Warwick - never ceases to amaze.
