Warwick refret recommendation

I have a warwick ss2 that needs the fretboard planed and a refret. It is a neckthru model but has a ski jump at the end of the board. I can get it setup fairly well but I would like to get it better.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a tech in the South Central Kentucky/Nashville area that could do that kind of work? Cost isn't as much of an issue as getting it done right. Thanks!

no personal experience but glaser is one of the renown guys in the country.

i'd think about looking into getting the neck heat-treated to un-kink it, done right you might save a lot of sanded-away wood.

R/S Guitarworks in Winchester KY does great work. Not cheap. Sometimes not fast. But they'll do it right.

Note about the frets... if you want genuine Warwick 'bell brass' frets, they sell them. I got a pre-cut and pre-radiused set for a 6 string broadneck SSII for less than $70 shipped from Germany. And shipping time was about two weeks. I can recommend a great tech in central PA, but I can't help outside of that!

I Finally got my warwick back today. I had to have the frets pulled and board leveled. I had to use Evo fretwire because the tangs on the Warwick frets I bought were too big. Anyways now it plays really nice! Low action and no buzz. So all and all a happy ending to it all.

Who did you end up having do the work and what was the monetary damage if you don’t mind sharing. :)

this is why in general you don’t bother buying fretwire, nut blanks and other raw materials yourself to bring in for the guy to use. anybody worth a damn will have their own supply and can get the right stuff for the job.
