Dealing With Dings On Your Warwick
Yet another common question:
"I have found some dings on my Warwick bass. Is there anything that I can do to get rid of them?"

If it is a dent, not a gouge (no wood missing), you can steam the dings out. Use a damp cloth and a soldering iron to apply steam to the dinged area. The cloth can be an old t-shirt or towel, moistened and folded several times. Hold the damp clamp directly over the ding and press the soldering iron to the cloth. It should swell out the dent in 30 seconds or so. When it is level with the rest of the wood, let it dry half an hour and then finish with steel wool (we use the green 3M Scotch Brite scouring pads) and then a coating of Warwick Bees wax.
If there is wood missing, sand the area even with 400 grit paper, sanding with the grain of the wood, then finish as described above.
Im curious if this would work on my corvette proline because of the finish. Suggestions?
