Hi, all, I've been lurking around the forum for quite some time, and I finally decided to start a thread. For the past week or so, I've been looking for a decent padded gig bag. I came across Warwick Rockbags, and noticed that people had mixed opinions toward them. Some people seem to swear that they're some of the best for the price and that they can be used for years and years, other people went through three-four of them within a year.


If any of you could post about your experience with them, or experience with other gig bags, that would be great. I have a budget of about $120 dollars, so Mono and Reunion Blues are out of the question. Thanks, all.

I've had two. First one I ripped the stitching on one of the pockets by picking it up wrong many times. Now that I only pick it up by the handles it is a great durable bag. It is also the only decent gig bag available in my country so to me it is awesome, but if I had a boutique bass I'd probably order in something nicer to keep it in. Been using them for about 7 years and no bass has seen damage inside them. They have a sweet cushion for the headstock, my basses almost always keep their tuning in transit

I've been using one that I got with my 'wick since April this year.
I can myself give you a mixed account of my 6 month experience with this bag.
First of all, I can vouch for the water proofing ability of the rockbag. I was on my way back home from a rehearsal one evening and couldn't find a cab to take me from the station. And top of that, it was raining real bad and I wasn't carrying any rainwear or umbrella!
Waited for almost 45 minutes and finally decided to gun it. Ran like the wind. My home is ~12 minutes from the station. Once I was home, got my dad to check the bag and the contents since I was drenched!
The bag was opened and voila! Not a drop or any evidence of moisture inside. So big ups to Warwick Rockbags for the water resistance!
However, a couple of weeks back, while I was climbing up the stairs with the bag on my back....SNAP....the LHS strap tore and broke beyond repair. Following that, the front pocket tore too!

So no points from me for the straps!

Inside cushioning is great for the price. The straps always felt a little thin.

But hey, could be that I might have got a lemon! Good luck with the purchase!
