What's your opinion.
Is the Jazzman any good? I like the PJ style pick-ups.

Should i try to trade my MM Stingray bass for one?

I'm more of a Fender J-bass man. But i actually like the sound and looks of the ss1.

Sorry I sold mine. The neck was great, the flame maple body was gorgeous, and the tone was excellent, even with MECs. Unfortunately, trading a MM would be tough for me. I would be sorry if I got rid of my Sterling for the same reasons. You should own both.
