Was my pawn shop impulse purchase worthwhile?

Nice score, but you may want to cut back on buying more for at least a couple of weeks.
At least I can state without a doubt that my wife likes to see me spend more on bills and such
and less on new basses.

YUP THE WIFE HAS ALREADY EXPRESSED HER DISPLEASURE WITH ME,... as i have bought 5 basses a practice amp and 2 complete stage rigs in the past 9 weeks....i can't help it, i have GAS!!

yup, for real...everytime i walk in with another bass i get read the riot act!...maybe i should slow down just a little!

I'm just trying to understand what, in a nine-week span, could necessitate or inspire these acquisitions (other than a clinical diagnosed impulse control issue). And I own a lot of gear, so I'm no stranger to a little overkill once in awhile.

Rather than hi-jack this thread, I think you should start one of your own, with lots of pictures, and lots of words, about your nine-week spree.

Regarding the finish, my Yamaha TRB5 looked like that when I bought it, except it is blue stain instead of brown.

I found blue Sharpies in my wife's craft drawer that matched well enough and recolored the spot, followed by a couple coats of paste wax. Unless you touch the area, you'd never know it was damaged.

P.S. I would have bought it at that price, too. Great find!
