washburn force 5 VS washburn CB50pro

hi guys, i'm new in this forum :p
i need help choosing my new 5 string bass. after looking for many 5 stringed basses, i have decided to buy one of these 2 washburns:
1) Washburn force 5
*Bubinga body
*Active electronics
*Washburn ABT JJ pickups
*Washburn monorail bridge
*Neck thru body
*Multi laminate neck
*Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay

i don't know why but the CB50pro doesn't appear on the washburn's website. i think the only difference between this and the CB15 is that the CB15 has a J-pickup and a soap bar pickup and the CB50pro has 2 soapbars pickups (wich i like most)

so wich do you recommend me??? force 5 or CB50pro???

I would say the Washburn CB50pro, it has better specs, active electronics and pickups, and it has the Buzz Feiten Tuning System, i have had a wasburn xb400 for 13 years and it has served me well, but the body design is shaped like the force 5 and is a pain, because it does not stand up strait on any stand i put it on, because its bottom is not rounded but cut at an angle, but if you look at the bottom of the Washburn CB50pro it has a good shaped bottom, and will stand up strait when you put it on a stand and won't fall over when you lean it against something, hope this helps, i know personally, the force bass is a newer version of the bass i have, except they changed the name and pickups, but everything else is the same, one thing you will like is the necks that washburn makes, they are thin and smooth and are easy to play on, and their basses are good for any style of music, and are easy to slap on.

i've heard that changing the electronic of the force 5, i can get an awesome bass like basses costing 1000+USD or more, is that true???
also, the shape isn't an incovenient. i own a XB100 and has the same shape of the force 5 so i know what i'm going to deal with :smug:

i have heard people say that, if the bass is built out of good wood, i don't see why not, new pickups probably could give it an even better sound, but for the cost of the new pickups plus labor, i figure at that point just get a better bass, but if you already own one, i don't see why not, maybe just replacing the preamp with a seymore duncan, bartolini, or any other good brand might get you a fuller sound without changing the pickups.

I had a Force 5 and currently have a CB15 which looks the same as the CB50 you have shown including the specs. I am not sure about the pups. Washburn is light in details in their specs and web site. I got CB15 on Ebay for $300 shipped/no tax. I would go with the CB50 Pro based on my experience with the Force 5 and now the CB15. I hope you enjoy your choice.

LOL, isn't Magnus Rosen endorsed by Washburn? They made him a 'signature' bass in Sweden.

Why would he be 'considering' one of two Washburn basses if he wasn't selling them, or trying to. Unless it isn't the real Magnus and only a fan using his name.

Well I saw one of these basses on a 'craigslist' type site and I searched TB on any reviews or comments about it, and I came across that post. Didn't realize it was that old, but he was playing for Hammerfall then and had his own bass.
