Any recommendations for setup & repair in the Bellingham-Marysville-Whidbey areas??? I posted this in the setup repair forum but figured maybe going straight to the WA State thread may give me better luck.

"I just picked up a 2005 Fender Jazz FMT 5'er that I've been tweaking the truss rod but I'm guessing it possibly needs a shim. Got rid of buzzing on the lower frets but can't rectify the issue on frets 14 thru 22 (G string is fine though). Also has a couple frets that may need some work also.

I just moved to Washington 8 months ago so I'm not sure of any trusted guitar techs in the Bellingham-Skagit-Whidbey areas. Feel free to add any Seattle area techs as it seems it's been several years since the last thread update although Seattle is 2 hours away from me."

A club for WA State bassists--Cool! I've been around the forum for quite a while now, and only today do I discover this thread LOL!

First got to Olympia in 2000 (in time to watch the Kingdome come down) with the USAF, got transferred several years later, then came back to enjoy retired life :D

Returned to college, got my BA, then right on to my Masters which wrapped up this past Spring-- both at Evergreen (LOVE that place!). Most of our money goes into our house these days (replacing a bunch of 32-year old windows as we speak), but sometimes enough is left over for bass gear ;)

Hey everyone - just popping in here to let you know that:
1) I'm working on an actual website for my annual GTG
2) 2017's GTG planning is well underway, no timeframe yet established
3) I may do 2 GTGs each year if there is interest. The idea would be on "big" one (with the usual vendors from out of state etc), and then one more low-key with just us bassists and maybe a couple local vendors.

Cool I'm a Greener too, graduated with a BA in '98 and got my MA at UWT in 2004.
Met my wife and had my daughter's baby shower at Evergreen and worked in the alumni office at Evergreen for almost 10 years before I got laid off. A great crazy place.

My old band, Skychurch out of Olympia, played on the first landing in the TESC library, when it was just a cement shell well before there was any glass or doors or any other fixtures, in like 1973. The sound was phenomenal, and the setting was sooo spooky-- felt like Pink Floyd playing Stonehenge--

Any photos I would have had went up in a house fire in 1989, but I'll ask some of the old crowd and see if anyone else does-- in the meantime here's a shot of the old Evergreen Ballroom, playing with John Lucas, Chuck Wilkowski and Steve Olszewski in like 1974--
