Waveform editing possible in Sonar 3 prod.?

I'd like to hear the answer to that question too.

If this feature isn't in Sonar, then what's a good waveform editor? Is there any freeware I can use to edit a .wav file?

Is there any waveform editing product with a nice user interface (digital waveform display that I can slide the cursor over and hear the track, like in ProTools)?

I have an application in mind, which is de-glitching a .wav file that got recorded with a cheap computer. I'm pretty sure there's just a discontinuous line item in the .wav file, I've looked at the waverform with my Sonar 2.0 and it looks fine, but it does display what looks like a "glitch" at one specific point at maximum display resolution, so I'm looking for a tool that I can use to de-glitchify stuff like this.
