We (Source Audio) released Neuro 3 too early. We're sorry!

Well, looks like I have to give up on the C4. I had built up a nice library of 40 + presets, had gotten into the deep editing in Neuro, had the MIDI program change thing happening with a Disaster Area Micro Pro... then the new, improved Neuro 3 hit and.....
...

I've found the older editor available as a side-load apk for android. (I wish Source Audio would provide the APK for the last-version-of-the-old-editor directly from their site). I wish they'd also provide the older version via the iOS app store, but I won't hold my breath. Not sure how well it will work for library functions.

I’m getting an OS glitch on the iPhone. When searching, the search box moves to the upper left of the screen under the clock making it very difficult to see and edit the search terms.

Also, I got a few free minutes at work, started playing with the soundcheck and now the neuro app no longer outputs sound at all on my phone. I deleted and reinstalled and no luck. Other apps are still working.

Thoughts?

Can you let me know what type of iPhone and iOS you're using? And from where are you listening to the SoundCheck clips that have zero output? Does your phone behave the same way on both Silent and Ring?

Thanks!

Does the android app actually work? I can connect to the pedal via usb, I can see what presets are on the pedal, but if I change anything and "save to pedal" it doesn't save anything. As soon as I open that preset again, the changes have vanished. Also annoying is that it asks me every time to rename the preset when i save, even thought I'm just trying to save a minor adjustment to a preset.

Hi there.

Desktop (Tahoe) Neuro works excellently for me via the USB mini to USB-C cord. When I use the same cord to connect to my iPad (4th generation, running OS 26), I get the "adding error" screen.
Ive received a couple of support letters with this same or very similar issue cropping up regarding iPads, there has to be a link that our dev team needs to explore. Can you let me know your iPad model and OS?

IMHO this thread is now unfortunately titled. While SA might have released the Neuro App prematurely because it wasn’t stable, that’s no longer the case. Neuro works pretty well for most people most of the time, and that’s been true for a while now. The thread title might be scaring potential purchasers off. Just a thought…

Good point. I'm still holding back from updating Neuro.
It's not just the early glitches, I read that user experience has some 'complications'?? Am I right?

Roger from SA who participates in this thread is probably the better one to answer that question. My anecdotal experience is that for most people most of the time the Neuro app works well. I had all kinds of problems with it initially but for the last year or so it’s pretty much been rock solid With all my SA pedals. And there’s no question that the latest version of Neuro is the best and most stable.
