No, not the group.

It was cold here this morning. !!

Here is a pic at Mackeral Cove, Jamestown RI USA this morning zip 02835

Water temp is 38F
Air temp -4F

Note the 'smoke on the water' effect from water
vapor on the surface. This usually is only
visible once a year on Narragansett Bay, as when
the water cools the effect disappears. Some years
it does not occur at all. This is the first time
I have been able to get a picture of this effect.
I have been meaning to photograph the phenomenon
for 15 years.

Brrrrrrrr :D

Thanks Thor you just gave me a new desktop :D

as far as temperature, it's pretty damn cold right now in Boston.

my heater is on, but these baseboard heaters blow...er rather, they DON'T blow, so they are pretty inefficient.

I'm going to get one of those Vornado heater/fans I've used 'em before THAT's how a heater should be.

either way, it's about 10ºF

With a pretty heavy windchill

Last night the wind was gnarly, very very heavy, my jewels were terrified just hearing it.  :p

Hey, you'll get used to it. You will appreciate
the spring and fall in NE even more now.

Gets a bit windy up on Newbury Street. Be sure
you come down to the Newport RI area when it
warms up, this area can really rock.

And offer some nice lady you have met the chance to cuddle and warm up. hehe

Nice pic of the Jazzbo in the 'hood!

I have a pic of the scantily clad vixen arising
out of the frigid waters, but I can't post it
here for fear of arousing the baser instincts of
our teenage bass brethren!

Wait, you mean "smoke on the water" is an actual
phenomenon? I know of a place in Alabama where it
happens every single morning during Autumn and
Winter. I always thought it was just an ordinary
occurence.

What you can't see is that the air is very dry,
i.e. no fog, and the wind is blowing 20-30 knots
across the water. In June, fog is prevalent here,
but water vapor visibly arising from cold water
is very rare!

Up here in Northern Ontario we just got past a couple weeks of -47C weather(Including windchill)

Its supposed to break this week though and only be -28C.

I understand that indoor sports are popular in
lovely North Bay, [ I have been there ...] at
this time of year, and the there is a spike in
the birth rate expected every fall.

Now go get warm!

Currently sitting at 66 degrees fahrenheit. I've been at the opposite end of the spectrum though. When I lived in Northern China it would get down to -30 fahrenheit without windchill and that year was actually considered a "warm winter."

You tricked me. I was expecting to dicuss some fusion here.

Anyways, over here in New Hampshire we've been about 10 below everyday for a week.

Use the search button and bring and old one back.
And if there isn't a relevant thread, start a new one. If you have a specific recording to discuss,
the 'Recordings', other wise MISC [ music related ]. There's your chance to talk some Fusion!
