Webstrings ordering problems?

Hi all,

I am a bassist from South Africa. I have ordered and paid for Bass strings from the guys at webstrings. It has been 3 months and i have not received anything yet! I have emailed and tried to call the number listed - no luck. Anyone with similar problems?

Thanks

Did you ever get this resolved? I haven't been waiting three months (yet), but it's been longer than one would expect with the mail service.

Or anybody else order some Detroit Bass strings from Webstrings lately? How was the service?

Then again, maybe Jason just makes everybody else look slow. ;)

Exactly why I'm asking. Have you ever ordered from webstrings.com?

As I said, I have not been waiting three months, just a little over two weeks to be exact. But, unlike WPW, I'm also not in South Africa. (And I was hoping to hear if he ever got his problems resolved.)

Even by regular mail, I get strings from bassstringsonline.com or juststrings.com within three or four business days from the U.S to Canada. So even two weeks seems a bit excessive at this point, plus completely ignoring any email queries to them about the order I fear does not bode well for me.

There's more than a few posts on TB about webstrings and Detroit Flats. Would be nice to hear from somebody with recent experience with the company.

I can't say I've ordered from webstrings.com, but I've ordered from a number of sites for strings. I don't think any of them took even two full weeks!

I mean, I've ordered things from all over the globe and things rarely take three weeks, let alone three months, to get to me.

I can understand something taking a long time to get to South Africa, but three months is ridiculous and completely unacceptable in my humble opinion.

Just to follow up: the strings did show up today (December 12), and they were mailed out in a timely fashion by Webstrings, it just took 3 weeks to get here. I'll blame it on the Christmas rush.

But I guess we'll never know if WPW ever got his.
