Made this little weird instrumental, everything you’re hearing other then the drum loops was made by my Fender Jazz bass and some effects pedals.

Weird Bass Instrumental

The intro was a bit "weird," but in a cool way. I liked the whole thing!
I recorded at my friends house and he has a ton of pedals, I basically used that intro as an excuse to make as much messed up noises as possible haha.The intro was a bit "weird," but in a cool way. I liked the whole thing!

Ever see that Canadian TV show called “How It’s Made”? They show stuff being made, with an instrumental music track in the background. This needs to be played while some gadgets are being milled and assembled. (Although the Bass riff towards the end would probably upstage the gadget.)

Oh yeah I was definitely thinking of this track when recording this. Squire is a big influence on me.
Lots to like. The fade ins are nice and the different ways you inhabit guitar territory, envelopes and heavy chorus. The lick at 2 minutes is too much wankery, (show off!) but before that it reminded me of Stanley Clarke articulation. I like the snare sound and a real drummer could have played highhat with you better, but the virtue of drum machine is it doesn't Get in the Way! For my taste it was too musical, with chords and sht. I like slower grooves that don't go Anywhere. Most people disagree with that.
Thanks for the honesty, always appreciated. Never would’ve thought of “too musical” as a detriment but different strokes as they say.
Love it. Great building up of parts. Never too musical and I like that little bit at 2:03. Very nice groovy feeling throughout.
I kinda like it; it got almost Zappa-esque at 1:21; reminds me of the music that might back a DIY video where a guy shows you how to build something in 2 minutes.

"Too musical" was a funny way of saying "not my style", I've done faster tempos with more of an edge, but this is Very skillful, just wanted to complement you more. A perfect example when to record effects (and not add them later) that was covered by a thread a week ago. And an important descritive word got by the sensor by taking the vowel out, everyone should take note. There's good sht you know.
