OP, there are some threads on earplugs and hearing loss in the BG forum, like this one.

For sure, take it serious about hearing damage from prolonged exposure to high spl!

I'd recommend the Ear Plug Superstore, as a source. My faves are the Etymotic ER-20s; they're comfortable, give a good sense of the mix at a reduced level, and last a long time.

i suffer every day. the ringing is constant and gets louder and softer through out the day. i went and had a set molded to my ears for $80. it wont cure what i have but it will help keep what i have left. protect yourself.

Re: tinnitus not being reversible- I'm going in for a hearing test next Friday and the company states that they offer hearing aids that are able to cancel the ringing. I'll get some info.

Yeah, I would be VERY interested in some info on this.

I bought the Musician's Earplugs, which are very good and have a sufficient amount of lows and highs. I am just worried that I have already lost some of the highs in my hearing. Is there anyway that I can test this?

Standard hearing test.
They play tones of various frequencies and volumes and determine what range your hearing loss is in.
