Weird hiss with my LD Systems MEI-1000?

Hey guys,
I need your help.

Whenever I play my instrument (bass and guitar) through my LD Systems MEI-1000, I get a signal noise. It's hard to describe but it's unlike the hiss of a broken cable or loose pickup wiring if you know what I mean.

It sounds a little different and only occours when I pluck a string. I've tried 2 basses and one guitar so far and everytime it's the same noise. I've tried different cables as well as a wireless instrument connection and it doesn't make a difference.

However, if i play back music through the system or anything that isn't my instrument, I won't get that problem.

Since this is my first wireless system I'm not sure if this normal or if the unit is faulty.

Now, in general, is it common that in-ear systems have this background noise/hiss whenever you play your instrument?

Thanks for your help.

no idea?

can anybody at least tell me if it's common that when you pluck a string you will get this warm hiss that is unlike his that occurs with a broken cable or high input and things like that.

please, i need to know whether my unit is faulty.

thanks

Hello,
i'm sorry, I am french and my English is not very well.
I'm not a bass palyer , but I hace the same problem with my MEI 1000 wireless system.

I play Keyboards in a Soul Band in France, and I make also the sound directly on stage for front and monitor for six players.

I have the same bad song on Bass on LD MEI 1000 receiver. The sound with earphone directly connected on the transmitter is good.

Have solve your problem, or have you some help for me.

thank you in advance for your help.

Regards.
