It's not about thicker strings being inconsistent, it's the gauges in your first post being inconsistent for tuning in fourths. Compare your set to a more normal set that can be tuned to "B#" below.

He has a .136 .100 .076 .055 set that might work out for you.

LOL at that! I had the same conversation with a guy in our band as we were tweaking the key of a song to fit our singers range. 1 up from B so B#. Uhhhh, that would be C.......
