There is no dimmer switches in the original room. I also moved to the room right next to my room and the noise was there. It also got louder when I turned my instrument to the left. Exactly like the original room.

I’m a newbie so whatever I say might be wrong but this is what happened to me.
So I have an AUX jack on my Amp and I have an I phone so whenever I plug in the aux I start having the same problem and sometimes even if the charger is close to the bass I think it messes with the pickups so i remove the charger and everything goes back to normal. Hope you find a solution soon take care.

Yeah, I probably need to go to a different room to play. Sucks, but I have no idea what is causing this.

This kind of trouble can be very frustrating. Sometimes you find the culprit easily: light dimmers or fluorescent lighting are often the cause, or something with a big transformer near you... Other times you just identify areas to avoid and never really find out what the problem is... which is specially frustrating if you don't really have another room to go to.

I had the same issue on and off for a while, my neighbours moved out two months ago now and I haven't had it since. I'm thinking it was something they were using that was causing interference, cordless phone or some other equipment. Now it's all quiet as a mouse.

If it is high frequency, that is probably why I couldn't hear it. I am unable to hear some higher frequencies like birds chirping etc. Been that way for years, but the important thing is I can hear all the low frequencies fine.:thumbsup:

Ah, that explains it... at least you know it and it's nothing to worry about (presumably!).
I have an almost annoyingly sharp hearing [1]. I can hear little power supplies or blue tooth units etc when nobody in the room can hear them.. and when I notice something like that I need to find out what it is. My girlfriend thinks I make it up sometimes :D

[1] on one side only. I had the same good hearing on both ears until a couple of years ago... then one morning I went to the shower and suddenly most of the top end went on my right ear. I thought I just had water in the ear. It wasn't. Then I thought maybe wax. It wasn't. My ear drum is fine. They couldn't tell me what was wrong, but I became pretty much deaf from my right ear. I still 'hear' things but it's mostly bone conduction, like when you put a foam earplug in. So I have ultrahearing on one side, and infrahearing on the other... I guess I have just normal hearing on average :p
