Weird noise!

Yes, it's an active ibanez sr700! I will try changing the battery, but I doubt that would help because I get the same noise from my guitar which is passive. Doesn't hurt to try though!
Hmmm. Are you playing your guitar through the same amplifier that you play the bass through? If so, I'd be inclined to look at the amp. Also, if you're using the same cable for your bass and guitar, it might be the cable.
I'm plugging to my audio interface. I did try both with my multi-fx pedal and I got the same noise.
So I think it's probably something to do with my room.
I don't have much experience with audio interfaces. Hopefully someone else will post with some additional suggestions.
Is it a high frequency hum? Low frequency hum? Static?
Does it change when you play an instrument?

If it just started recently then check and see what else is plugged in on the wall plug circuit you are using.. Do you know your breaker panel at all? You need to figure out what is sharing that breaker..There will be several plugs on the same breaker.. Something might have been plugged in another plug causing this..
Actually yes! I just got a new mouse. I tried unplugging it but it didn't seem to work.
That sounds like interference from other electronic equipment.
Has this started just recently? Anything else new in the house/vicinity? New equipment? Any light dimmers?
It started yesterday. Only the new mouse I think. I'm gonna move my laptop to another room see what happens.
Yes! If I am facing my laptop and I turn 45 degrees left or right the noise does get louder. If I turn even little more to the right the noise does get even louder. Doesn't seem to be the case with the other side though.
Something is picking up interference. You're on a laptop... so try going to different part of your home... see if it stops or changes. Try running with laptop running from batteries and from the plug... see if it changes (it shouldn't, that would be super weird, but worth checking everything).
Does it happen when you have no instrument connected but are still monitoring/recording from your interface's 1/4" input?
