Weird power issue with MXR mini iso brick

My pedal set up is pretty simple: polytune 3 mini -> tech21 VT bass deluxe --> TC sub n' up (octaver). I had been playing this through an old, basic daisy chained 1spot. At a recent rehearsal, all three of my pedals went crazy for about 5 minutes. I got them to settle down but decided that night to upgrade my power supply. I chose the MXR mini iso brick for its combination of isolated power, compact form, and price relative to others.

After practicing with this new power supply for a bit, my sound got noisy and quieter. By switching from one preset on my VT bass deluxe and back, the sound was corrected. While it may seem like an issue with the VT, I'd never had this problem with the 1spot. I plugged in via the 1spot and didn't have this problem.

Any thoughts on what's going on here?
