Weird things you do...

my drummer is much stronger than me... but i'm much bigger than any of my friends or band mates... just lack of muscle...

i seldom meet people stronger than me. and my older brother "taught" me a bunch of submission holds that i utilize from time to time to keep "people" in order.:p you would be surprised how effective a basic arm bar works on a drummer or guitard.

hit the gym buddy, start bench pressing a weight equal to your rig and then move up. :D

oh and im OCD - i was installing these cabinet doors and i had to arrange each screw in the box so they faced the same way :S
i pick my nails too

Do you really have OCD, or are you just saying you are because you don't know what it means?

OCD doesn't mean you're particular or a perfectionist... It's a tough disorder that includes symptoms that people don't realize. People (except for some children) with OCD realize that their obsessions and compulsions are excessive, and they know better. They just can't help it. It actually causes them distress, with compulsive activities interfering with their lives, often taking up more than an hour each day. They realize it and can acknowledge how it's hurting them and their loved ones, but cannot do anything to fight it.

They don't embellish it because they turn screws in one direction. It's a problem that people have, and I'm really tired of people pretending like they have these serious disabilities, claiming self-diagnosis. It's extremely disrespectful to people who actually are struggling with the illness.

then curl it with your weak arm:D

my "rig" is a 70 watt Tranzamp B70:hiding:

i can still bench 190 used to do 250 but i had shoulders that would stay in their joints then:hmm:

i do push-ups with a clap now instead.:bassist:

i cannot for the life of me figure out how i still have a belly:hmm:

perhaps i should ride the bike more.

i could probably curl it with my weak arm... its super light... biking won't help your belly... i bike everyday and swim everyday and still have a nice large belly...

i appreciate your inout and sorry if i offended u - i admit it was an exaggeration but the thread was "what weird things do you do" and i couldnt think of a better way to describe it

alrigth this may come off as a joke but i mean it as a kinda serious question... does that mean that Adrean Monk from the show Monk doesn't actually have OCD?

It's okay, I just wish people would be more aware of what they're saying. It's ridiculous when people start attaching labels to themselves that they don't understand at all.

With most ailments like OCD, you couldn't understand it unless you've experienced it first or second-hand.

It's okay to be quirky or strangely particular about certain things. But don't pretend like you have lupus if you're tired when you wake up in the morning, ya know?

Adrian Monk does display many of the symptoms of severe OCD.

It takes up almost ALL of his time, and he seems to dislike being in that state of mind. It has interfered with his life completely, and he sees that.

Of course this is a fictional character we're talking about, but yes, Adrian Monk has OCD.

yea i get what ur saying - but i thought by posting "im OCD" was a disclaimer that i wasnt claiming i had it but rather .....oh whats the use im just trying to dig my way out :rollno:

also spankypants would the fact that i have to have all volumes that have visual volume numbers (like car stereo or tv where it shows the volume level with a number) at 5 even though i know its ridiculous and that it something i shouldn't bother fixing. Like my parents will adjust the volume and even though i know i should really bother because its really stupid i have to reach it up and change it to the closest incriment of 5?

i do that too. also when i pump gas into my car i have to pump either to a dollar amount that is read the same backwards and forward($56.65) or rounded to the nearest quarter. ($30.25)

when i purchase multiples of the same item i have to get an odd number. i don't call myself OCD because i haven't been officially diagnosed but i do have OCD tendencies.
