I've been wanting a bongo badly lately, but I think it's ridiculous how much they limited the finish options. All I want is a Desert Gold and/or Egyptian Smoke bongo, but I guess I'll have to pick up a used one or wait to see if they ever bring some of the good, interesting finishes back.

Well, in my case, I can say that [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] from Lord Bongo (a.k.a. Bovinehost) at the Ernie Ball forums made me choose the HH version. I'm so grateful because of that.

It is Orange Firemist, which I think is now discontinued as well? (I may be wrong here)

On the EBMM forum we had a thread about the Dream Bongo. Though many ideas were said - how many would be exceited about a Bongo in either maple or mahogany? Me - I would love the dark wood.......

I thought my Stingray5 was nice, but I have to say this thing bests it on both feel and sound for my tastes.
