Well - my speakers caught fire.

ok, trying this again... from the real world...
we've got a subbass cab, dual 18" scoop bottoms, that sets one of it's speakers on fire. speaker was in relatively good shape but not new. It's a sub, crossed over at 80Hz. It's powered by a huge amp, I think QSC, but is not overpowered - all cabs are matched to the power of the amp (don't recall if we had 4 or 8 dual 18's that night). rephrase it however you like, but what set it on fire if not overheating?

Back in an awful awful dark time in my life, I had a Kustom tuck & roll 315 with sparkle blue 200 head. We did a run of shows in NYC with the 'infamous' industrial metal band Bile. At the time they had stripper/fire eaters who wore mostly neon glow in the dark grease paint instead of clothes. Several of them had their way with my setup and I could never quite get the sweaty grease paint out of the grill fabric or out of the rolls.

Hiding Xlim due to lots of sub harmonic content. Sub harmonic content means lower then your lowest note on bass guitar. Dont't be amazed but that really happens with every hiding a string on your instrument. The lower your instrument is tuned the lower the sub harmonics.
Hiding Xlim very often, deformation of VC, rub of VC wire in the gap, fire and smoke out of the speaker.

Second consideration what also may happened to your loudspeaker,
Heavy distorted signal with very low crest. But speakers need sufficiant movement for cooling the VC.
Two things, lower going frequency cycles reduce air ventialtion around the VC (easy to understand).
Compressed signals reduce ventialtion due to reduced movement of the VC (also easy to understand). But compressed signals give way to squeeze more power out of an amplifier without clipping.

So both in combination, excessive compressed signal in combination of very low sub hatmonic content is a very good bet to wreck woofers.

Unless compiled by qualified sound engineer that board is a good bet to have similar sound quality like youtube.
To be honest but I know how crappy those endless chain of bypassed pedals may sound.
Just remember when I picked off my two pedals cause even bypass mode corrupted the sound (nasty crappy bypass IC's).
That's meant as a warning to all of those who have mind games with pedal battles.

Trust me. Those boards are set up with an 8 channel looper. Proper buffers, cables, connectors etc to have the best audio quality available when using multiple effects and boards. Completely isolated power supplies, dc filters etc.
