Well, this was unexpected....

Sounds like a fun gig, enjoy! I had a chance to open for Leslie & Laing in the mid 90's, kind of a rough time for them. West used our guitar players double Marshall stack, and when he took the stage promply turned the volume to the max. Lol This was a small venue, and the place was vibrating! Unbeliveable tone, great show. He was a very nice man.

Oh yah! You're a smart guy. This is the kind of work that creates more work. You're in NYC, right? It's the kind of place that can grind you down but also a place you can get lucky. I had a moment in 1984, playing at The Limelight on 6th avenue, opening for Pee Wee Herman. It led me to performance artist Invalid Link Removed, which led to Madonna coming to see Frank at Gerde's Folk City, and playing at Danceteria, Pyramid Club, and what was then the Other End. All long ago and far away now.
