Wham! Bassist?

    I listened to Wham! today and the bassist got some really good grooves and a really nice slap technique, does anybody know who this guy is?

    Deon Estus. He had some chops, and played nice lines, for sure.

    He's playing a white Jazz in the "Go-Go" video.
    (IIRC...it's probably been 20 years since I've seen it, heard it, played it).

    STOP please dont make me go back and listen to that stuff again! Because if ya guys keep talking about good chop then i will have to go back to the WHAM listen! And i am very scared of that! :bawl:

    Deon was also the bassist for a group called Brainstorm in the late 70's. checkout "where on our way home" and "wake up and be somebody".

    While reading this thread I agree that some of their bass lines are really cool.
