What amp should i get for small gigs?

Not sure whats avaliable in Canada. You should have some choices especially used for 410 cab. I use an Avatar 410 Neo and really like it cost me $300 new. May be able to score Ampeg 410 hlf if you like strong low end, great cab...too heavy for me but I m not 15y old :)

Yes, my wife bought me a B200 as a birthday gift a few years ago. I love it. My need were: A combo that could handle a low B. I tried everything in GC..Like them or not, they offer the most bass amps in one show room, in Atlanta area. THE B2OO handled my ZON [active] flawlessly; NO B-FARTING, even at performance volumes. EVERY..I MEAN EVERY OTHER AMP AND COMBO FAILED; not only at GC, but every amp..even boutiques..failed the fart test at other shops.

I am surprised at how loud that combo really is. The smaller Acoustic combos were disappointing to me, wheras others may like them. I have a friend who regularly gigs wit ha B45O, which wasn't available when we got my B200. 450 is also heavier. I genrally don't use the tweeter, but it's there if I want it or need it.

7) 3 year warranty. Usually GC will swap it out for new one on the spot if you have issues. I have had none, but I have had friends who have bought B450 and were glad they bought one.

Here in the Great White North of Canada we don't have access to Guitar Centre and, as Acoustic is GC's house brand, we don't got them either! :)

OK..Sorry, I didn't know GC wasn't in Canada. How about Invalid Link Removed [ same stuff as GC, only on-line.
There are 3 versions of Acoustic: Vintage, GC and USA

For new [ NON GC] Acoustic, Acoustic USA does have a Candadian distrubutor.

For vintage stuff google: acoustic control corp. Someone may have what you need.

The problem with the aim of purchasing an amp for small gigs is that depending on how successful you are, suddenly you need more volume for certain shows, especially those with no PA support. So you need to think in terms of flexibility, from small tiny setups to middle-sized shows (the big ones, well then someone will take care of the gear for you.)

Basically what I would recommend is any amp handling 300W to 500W and the option to add one or two speaker cabinets with DI out from the amp. That's a nice 'swiss army knife' amp solution.

The L&M here doesn't carry any traynor or Yorkville cabs bigger than 2x10, which is sort of strange. I'll see if there's anything in when I get there though, they may have a used one.
