"what are frets?”

When I went to buy my current bass. They had a 7/8 upright in the store. They guarded it like a hawk. I was allowed to play it. I'm 5'2" mind you. It was totally awesome, and I felt pretty darn cool being able to play poorly in semi decent intonation.. with my tiny hands mind you. =p

I thought it was funny also being so small next to this massive instrument. But cool at the same time. That was the first fretless I ever got to play.

My 5' 2" girlfriend played a 3/4 upright (pretty much standard) in the concert band at school. I had to carry the bass everywhere for her when we had concerts away from the school.

It was definitely cool seeing someone that small playing an upright.

I wrote this book called "52 crockpot recipes: A new one every week!"

its about hyper intelligent panda's battling with laser axes in space

Nev, its cool man...you can wear lifts they are not that noticeable. You want the kind Tom Cruise wears? Let me know.

Its always hilarious when someone has to dissect something so simple as this story and make it into some sort of " prejudice" thing. Lighten up boss, change the tamp, wash the sand out...move on.

:D You guys are funny! Made me laugh. Thanks.
