What are the clubs for?

Ok well i don't know how to post pictures for a thread to join :hmm:

Host them externally and post the image URL like this:

I'm new on this forum and I have no clue what the clubs are about. So if someone can explain that to me that would be helpful. Thanks
They're just silliness.

A "club" is nothing but participating in a thread dedicated to a certain piece of gear (or occasionally something else) and asking someone for a number...which makes no difference to anything.

You can (as I do) participate in these threads without ever becoming a "member."

There are no benefits. There is no point. Some people think it's "fun," like collecting 5,729 "friends: on Facebook. :rollno:

I've shunned the clubs myself. Any informative value they may have for the casual lurker is lost in the sheer volume of fluffy posts in most club threads.

I did hop on the Source Audio club thread in the TBFX portion but it is frequented by owner and one of the engineers from Source Audio and is pretty active and a good place to get answers, often times from the horse's mouth.

Also if you want to post pics in a thread, start a free account on a file hosting site such as Flikr, photobucket, imageshack, etc etc etc and copy and paste the "img" code in your post. I think there is a thread around here that goes into better detail for posting pics.
