What are you currently GASing for?

Bass wise would probably be something from Alpher Instruments

A US made SB-2 or SB-1 is high on my list. Although I have a tribute SB-2, I'm still GAS'ing for the US version. Problem is that the used market seems really high right now, so I'm trying to fight off the urges, and wait for something in my range to show up.

My bass wishlist shifts items up & down occasionally. At present, my top 5 are: Sadowsky Satin Series 5/24, Jerzy Drozd Orion 6 without the gemstones, Ken Smith BSR BT6 or EG6, Upright/Double bass, and Dingwall ABZ.

I was gassing hard for an Alpher, until i spec'd it out. >$3k for a pretty simple build. Thats custom basses tho i guess.

Gearwise, I've found myself looking with more than a little fondness at some of the new(er) Reverends.

In a non-gear sense, I've wanted to get in a good trip out to the SW USA this year, but it ain't happenin' this year, I'm afraid.

just saw an Orange OBC115 in a local big box store yesterday, used, in mint condition for a good price, and I had $200 in gift cards, didn't sleep thinking about it

I would like a Ric, because I used to have one and stupidly let it go. But they are overpriced and the chances are slim that I'll ever get another. No biggie, I've got 5 nice basses.

I let my 4004 go for a few reasons, heavy & the neck was huge.
Later models have thinner necks & they're lighter, but when I found a 8 lb. Walnut 4004 Cheyenne for $1,800 USD it had a twisted neck.
I realize the neck could probably be fixed, but it's a bit of a gamble, especially at that price.

I've seen other 4004, but they're closer to 9 lbs., & I realized after playing a L-2000 for a month last Summer that I'm not willing to compromise on weight.

So I'm back to thinking I have the best rig I'll ever want.

This darn near nails it for me. A Mesa D800 and two 112 Ultralite Subway cabs. I've been all over Reverb, CL, TB the last month. Why? Why not.
