What Are You GASsing For?

I'm GAS free. Super happy with basses and rig.

The guys I play with would get really grouchy with me if I changed anything.

It is so much fun to get the bass and rig sorted out. Leaves tons of brain space to concentrate on playing.

Now I have GAS and envy!

I probably don't need a pair of fEARfuls and a $2000 bass to become as content as you guys are. But I would at least need a second 2x12 cab and probably a second (and better) bass than my SR 300.

Right now, just light GAS pains

1) Benz Streamliner (not sure between 600 or 900) I'm lacking in the under 10lbs head category at the moment

2) 5 string Maple neck Sadowsky or Lakland under $1800

3) Aguilar DB750 or 751
Aguilar DB412 in Hot White

4) kinda want a 5 string Warwick Thumb BO narrow spacing for some reason, played one a long time ago that I was really diggin and just kinda looking for that once in a lifetime deal again.

5) Dexter Season 5 on BluRay, might take care of this one in the morning ;)

Ampeg PF500 + 410 cab
Fender Am. Special or H1 jazz
Squier VM/CV or Fender MIM fretless
A Fender Rhodes piano
A synth to replace the Korg TR61 I had to sell last year
An electric drum kit (TD10 or similar) with samples from a Linn machine
A set of mid-priced studio monitors
Mackie 1640i firewire interface
About 10 microphones

I figure I only need to come up with an amount roughly equal to the GDP of a central African country to cover all these things. But I'm young yet.

Tube head....Fender/Sunn 300, SVT, or Orange AD200 probably. I'd hit up that /13 in the classifieds if the cash was laying around. Love my Mesa M-Pulse...but tube power is calling me....

American Fender P (5 string)
American Fender P (4 string)
Carvin Long Scale 5 String

As far as Basses go -

Rickenbacker 4003 maple glo/ azure glo

As far as Amps go -

None I have my dream setup - Orange AD200B into an Aguilar DB212

(Although, I wouldn't mind a 1969 Blue-Line SVT through two 4x12s or maybe a 810...)

As far as effects go - (this might be long)

Strymon Blue Sky Reverberator and Strymon El Capistan - these pedals in combination can create such awesome sound-scapes I must have them!

Ss/Bs F*ck Overdrive - this pedal sounds so amazing I've heard this pedal in a band mix and it's so killer!

A fuzz that can be subtle, and also that I can completely crank to get a fuzzed out synth feel.

A really deep phaser... Il have to do some searching...

FoxRox Octron - this is a wicked octave pedal, the dirty up octave sounds so amazing and I'm sure it would sound flat out awesome with a fuzz after it...

As far as Strings go -

Some sort of flatwounds... I'm still searching... Love that sound though.

Now that I've completely swamped you guys with my GAS list...

I'm in the same place. No gear gas, just happy to play.
