Hmmm....Could this be a diving board?.....I recently purchased a used copy of Callahan's Crosstime Saloon thanks to this board.
Thanks, folks... I look forward to diving into it!

The "Magicians Nephew" is one of my favorites. Tells how things began and explains some of the things that happen in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."All Things for Good by Thomas Watson
Also someone told me I need to read the whole Chronicles of Narnia series--even as an adult.
I read The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe a few times as a kid--but never any of the others.
So they lent me their copies to read--so will be starting that shortly.
"Watch and Ward" - Henry James
Old turn of the [last] century romance novel. Kind of a cross between "Pygmilion" (My Fair Lady) and "Lolita" w/o the child abuse.
Well off man takes in a young orphan girl and raises her in hopes that one day she may grow up to be beautiful and become his wife.
Written in 1871. Fun to read books of this time period because of the use of "proper" English language. A little difficult at times, but I find once one gets into the "flow", it's really a cool language. Not that I bemoan today's English. Good with both -- just interesting. Definintely a romantic tome, so rather corny, of course, but well written. The guy had skills. Look forward to reading more of his stuff.
