Wow, is there a tab of that acid left over?Phil Dick was weird at the end, by Valis. Phil had experienced a horrid trip on LSD which in his subjective experience lasted a century or more.
Then there was his religious conversion.
Phil didn't suffer dope or religion gladly- they took their toll on his fragile soul.
I'm not much of a reader generally speaking but a recent turn of events has caused me to have to take my lunch breaks in my car (that's another story), so I'm gonna start reading more during that time. I'm currently reading "Effortless Mastery" by Kenny Werner. Great book so far.
SHIFT by Hugh Howey. Post apocalyptic Sci Fi. Super dark theme about genocide. Light reading it's not- I may need therapy soon.

If you think the Silo Series will shell shock you, you should read I Zombie. Not only is it a masterpiece of hopelessness within the text itself, but he ingeniously uses a few carefully placed black-and-white pictures to really slam home the despair in a way that can't be described. They're innocuous in themselves, but taken into context with the story, they're like the sound of someone's final scream.
