Lord of the Silver Bow by David Gemmell
If you are into fantasy/heroic fiction you probably already know about David Gemmell. If you don't, check any of his books out.

I realize this post is two years old, but I have been a Gemmell fan for years. One of the best, most underrated talents in fantasy/heroic fiction. I am just now starting the third book in the Troy trilogy: Fall of Kings.

Waylander. Druss. The Rigante series. Great books, all. He died way too young. Guess I'll have no choice but to re-read all the great books of his I've already read someday. ;)

I just went through

Lorsque j'étais une oeuvre d'art - Eric Emmanuel Schmitt
and Noveccento Pianiste - Alessandro Barrico

I'll browse this thread to find ideas for my next read.

Just for gits and shiggles, I thought I'd respond. At this moment I'm writing my dissertation, (well, technically, at this moment I'm fried so I'm taking a break), so here's what I'm reading. Ah. So just a little light summer reading, Jazzbo?

Ah, yes. This is the summer of my dissertation. It means that I'm writing about 10 hours per day, (plus work), and consuming vast quantities of literature, but that's how it goes, right? Once I'm done with this though, I will have completed the bulk of my work toward my PhD and will be able to look away from the didactic side of things, somewhat, so that I can really put my focus more on the clinical work, (it's a clinical degree). I am certainly sacrificing this summer, but its worth it in the long run.

And oddly enough, I really enjoy the topic of my dissertation, even though most wouldn't have any interest whatsoever! :)

After this summer though, I get to read more of the books that really, really interest me, and I also get to return to the bass and music!
