I'm reading two books at the moment - Stephen King's "Under the Dome", and "48 Days to the Work You Love" (on my new Kindle!)

Its an addicting series. I don't use audiobooks for the most part (the two notable exceptions are Jim Jarmusch's take on Fear & Loathing and Eugene S. Robinson's Fight), but I picked up the first book to see what all the fuss was about.

Now I'm on book ten. ;)

As for what else I'm reading, a non-fiction project of mine has me reading a lot of similarly themed non-fiction, so I'm about to jump into Neil Sheehan's A Bright Shining Lie, after I get done with a book of Chomsky's essays and Abbie Hoffman's Revolution For The Hell Of It.

On the fiction front, David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest is at the bottom of my bedside pile, after The Wheel of Time book and Solzhenitsyn's August 1914.

I'm enjoying. It's just taking a while.

I might have an in class essay on it next week so I may have to take you up on that offer.

D-DAY: Antony Beevor
The Imperial Cruise: James Bradley

Beevor is one of the finest writers of this genre. He can pack memorable details into each page that many other writers can't do. Also recommended by Beevor: Stalingrad, The Fall of Berlin.

I have also read Bradley's Flags of Our fathers, and Flyboys.

How do you like Under the Dome? I thought it was a good one. Had a lot of great character's in it. It was more like The Stand in that respect. Not quite as many characters as The Stand. I really like King's novels when he does that. Overall all I really enjoyed it.

I'm liking it so far. I don't get a ton of time to read anymore, except when I'm on the road, so it'll be a while before I finish this one...

Ayn Rand- 'The Fountainhead'
Mark Twain's autobiography
Lois Duncan- 'Killing Mr. Griffin'(borrowed it from a teacher when i didn't have anything else and it's pretty interesting)
I'd like to read 'Catcher In The Rye', 'Atlas Shrugged', and 'Searching For The Sound' when i have time/can find them.

just finished "Sum of All Fears" by Tom Clancy and a chapter into "We Were Soldiers Once...and Young" by Hal Moore and for school im reading Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales" and "How to Win Friends and Influence People" (must read for anybody) by Dale Carnegie

It's *really* cool! It was a gift, as I'd never buy one for myself, but I can see me using it more and more. Plus, my real books are on it now, that's a cool feature
