What are you working on right now?

"Firstly", readjusting my instruments to recover from the transposition (prior band tuned 1/2 step down) and change in the weather, such that I enjoy playing them again.

"Nextly", trying to learn why I like certain bass grooves and melodies, trying to learn why I like certain chords and progressions on keyboards.

I tend to over-analyze and over-explain things. :o:confused:

I'm working on alot at the moment. Right now I'm trying to improve my improv, both musically and lyrically, as I often find myself using some similar words/passages (I play in an Improv band).

At the same time I'm alo teaching myself how to maintain a good mix when theres 4 keyboard/synths, 2 guitars, 2 basses, a drumset, and a theremin in the mix. I'm also working on balancing all these levels for self recording through a small mixer, one channel with a room mic and the other channel as the PA mix.

thinking about how confident and ready i am for my first show with my band this saturday. im so freaking excited i feel like jumping everytime i talk about it. i dont know what it is lately, if it's just the music im playing and how confident i feel about it or maybe the government up'd the lithium in tap water or something but i feel good. i feel we're gonna nail this show to the wall and im gonna get a great reputation to start a new band with cause it's breaking up after our first show cause the guitarist is moving and i think im gonna start the show a single man and leave with a girlfriend. i am just pumped. anyways, i think my keyboard wants me to stop excitedly typing so im gonna post now.
