Post the basses you want to own.
An Alembic Series II.
I don't think I'll own all of that list any time soon
Lately, all I want is a Rickenbacker 4003.
I've also got my eye on a Gibson Thunderbird.
Lately I've been gassing for some kind of 5-string P bass, maybe with a P+MM, rosewood board.
I've wanted an MTD 635 for awhile now... I would love a Dingwall, too. Others on my list (but probably won't ever really buy) are a Pedulla Rapture 5 P+J, a Modulus Genesis 5er, or a Zon or Status 5 or 6.
I loved the tone of my old Spector NS-5, but I didn't like much else about it, so I probably won't buy another one (that's why I sold it in the first place). But as long as we're talking about dream bass collections, I'd have one of those in there, too.
My one dream bass would be a carbon-fiber neck (a la Modulus) but on an MTD 635 (asymmetrical wide/thin neck), except with a 34" scale, 24 frets, with Variax electronics, and also a Nordstrand MM pickup in the sweet spot, and also a P-bass pickup in the traditional spot, ash body and translucent gloss finish in either translucent red, translucent sapphire blue, or translucent teal or emerald green. I'd also want an elongated upper strap horn (I wear my basses at a pretty steep angle), Hipshot Ultralite tuners, Buzz Feiten tuning system, black hardware, high-mass bridge with 19mm spacing... mm-mmm good....
From Bass Central!
From George's Music Center, except I'd want trans. teal or trans. red, and a 5-string:
My next bass will most likely be one of these.
I am leaning toward the latter of the two because I would like a fretless.
That would be a '73 Fender Jazz, mint condition, sunburt or cream white, with a rosewood fingerboard, possibly with the pearl block inlays...
music man sterling....various colours..
Lakland USA Joe Osborn
Sadowsky J or P/J
Dingwall Super P/J
F Bass BN4
Reverend Rumblefish P/J
There are 3.....My special Fender...My special Birdsong... and the Dragon Bass(My Daughters)!!!!! Details will follow...................................
I will most likely buy the GWB1005, but the BTB1306 is the only one I have played though.
I will have to play the Gary Willis before I buy it.
I'd like to order something very much like this from Fred (Bee) one of these days:
I badly want an EB3.
ESP LTD F-405,
B.C. Rich WMD Widow,
Any decent Spector Euro, NS or Rex,
5- or 6-string Warwick Thumb NT,
A Fender P
If I really list all the basses I'd like to own, I guess I'd overwhelm TB database server.
Right now its a Pavel 5 string With Blue Burst, maybe a Hadara. Other than that, Im gassin for a Modulus Q5 Semihollow with F hole (delicious feel and sound), and a 55-94 with maplel neck.
One of these: Status Retroglide KingBass
I'd love an 8-string Thunderbee, 16mm spacing, birdseye top, macassar fretboard. I'm almost all set to order it, lacking only the $4K or so Fred will want. But other than that, it's mine!
sadowsky and musiman bongo
I'm a Fender guy even without owing an actual Fender, so I'd say a:
Crafted in Japan Precision and Jazz
A Precision and jazz from every decade
American Deluxe versions of both instruments, along with their 5 string counterparts
