it was a boss ceb-3 for a long time. I now have an mxr analog chorus... I plan to use it for a couple of months and see if I really prefer it. I also have a zoom ms-70cdr but I'll probably let it go - multi-effects just don't work for me.And what chorus would that be?
Been a meat and potatoes player my whole life. Meaning, I've never really used any pedals, but now that I'm digging deeper into bass, I'm wondering what pedals are essential outside of a tuner.
What do you all use and suggest? Pics of your fancy toys are a plus!

I like this idea and want to try it, what are you using?
Super DG fanboy here lol. Hate me if you want. Changed my thought process: SVT4-Pro Amp -> Harmonic Booster -> Hyper Luminal -> Vintage-U -> A/O-U -> PolyTune3 -> 2x212Ne. This is what I'm aiming for. Currently half way there, missing 2 pedals and 2nd 212.
Question, would I want the comp before the booster or after the booster, or at the end of the chain? Any thoughts on the order of those pedals?
I’d say comp before booster, as any boosted signal will affect how the compressor reacts. Might want to smooth everything out first, then boost that compressed signal.
Maybe an additional comp/limiter at the end of the chain to manage spikes introduced by any of the effects.
I also run my tuner front of chain, that way you don’t have to switch off any FX to tune, plus kills the signal if you need to unplug your bass for any reason.

This depends entirely on style of music and style of play... I play progressive rock, and the bass takes on a larger part of the piece than a standard bottom. I use Chorus, Flange, Phase, Octave, Compressor, and Equalizer (multi adjustable tone controls). I like to use one high quality pedal, otherwise you are facing noise issues. I use a Boss ME-50B. It has all this and much more.Been a meat and potatoes player my whole life. Outside of a tuner, my only "essential" bass pedal is a BOSS BC-1x compressor. Everything else is optional.
