What bass has the thinest neck?

Thinnest neck I played was on my first bass, a 60s Hagstrom. My GL Jazz is almost as thin. For all-around smallness though, it's gotta be my EB-3, fairly narrow, fairly thin, and short scale, to boot. Feels like a toy after playing my other basses!

Gibson Thunderbirds have nice slim necks as does the Fender American Vintage Jazz bass, oh, and Hofners too!

Actually, the old Gibson EB2 & EB2Ds have slim necks.

If you ask me on basses with the thinnest necks, I would say either the Ibanez soundgear basses or the Dean edge basses.

Fender Jaguar, which apparently has the same neck as the Geddy.

Chances are it would be european botiquish.. there are tons of them thinner than what is listed.

A friend of mine has a Kramer bass from the 80s... insanely thin neck.

I hated the look and the whole 80s metal vibe of the thing... but it actually sounded and played pretty good. Not my style at all, but something to check out.

Did it look anything like this?

My first bass, a Deam XM had a really thin neck. I actually liked the feel of it alot. But sadly it fell apart in my hands...

laguna LB224 is quite a bit thinner than Ibanez soundgears

Narrowest? +2 on the Vox Delta IV... the five sided "Thunder-Egg".

Thinnest: Hagstrom. And my old Moonstone Eclipse that I should have never sold.

My MIK Tobias Toby 4 has a neck that's too thin for my liking, fells like it's right there with SoundGear basses. For a short time I had an Epiphone Embassy Special IV neck and body that I bought as parts. That neck seemed like a pencil. I never measured it or played it, though.

I’d have to say Hagstrom also.
Very skinny, thin neck, thinner than a lot of Tele & Strat necks.

What bass guitar have you played, seen, touched, (or have it on good authority), is one that you think has the thinest neck of all? (Measured all-around, both width and depth combined...)
Try and keep it at something that you could walk into a shop and order; hand-made, one-off customs not included here, okay?

4 string: The Epiphone Rivioli is about the thinest necked bass I've ever owned, at not all that much bigger than a banjo neck... (Terrible tone IMO though; not nearly enough low range with its PU's...)

5 -to-8 stringers: Damned if I know... d];>]}

My Dean Czech made Jeff Berlin Exotic Burl has a very thin neck and very flat fretboard...howevever I don't have a measurement at the moment.

I measured the thickness of the neck at the 1st fret and 12th fret but not counting the fret itself, just front to back thickness of wood of neck and fretboard. 3/4" & 25/32"
Very thin from headstock all the way to the body. Very flat.

I believe the OP was referring to thick/thin through the front/back of neck measurement versus wide/narrow measurement across the nut?

My Vintage '83 Modulus Bassstar Fretless with NOS quilt maple topped body.
Neck is thin as a potato chip.
Bought this thing used while on biz trip to Philly back around 2010 off the local CL.
Had my local luthier resurrect it!
She's singin' now!
