What bass is this?

Played by Johnny Bradley of the Gary Clark Jr. band on Austin City Limits.

Looks like it has an old Kay speed bump pickup.

I'm not familiar with the body.

I was going to say almost a kind of Reverend vibe to it, but I don't think they made anything quite like that. Is there any spot in the video with a clearer shot of the front of the body and/or headstock?

I thought so - Dano style bridge, might that be a lipstick in a rectangular route? It might be a customized Dano or a Dano-based custom? I think the headstock and body make sense, too, though the body does seem very large, atypical for Danos. Maybe a hybrid?

Looks like a Kay speed bump pickup and a Dano bridge.

The body looks like it has binding and is about 2" thick. Might be a hollow body.

Body looks to be about 15" wide. Looks like a short scale neck.

I've been wanting to do a Dano type build. I might just copy this one.

Kay speed bump:

Then, again, it could be a lipstick in a ring.

Definitely a Dano bridge as you say.
The body looks "shorthorn-ish" and I suspect what's making the shape look wrong is the lack of side-tape making the not-straight-on shop blend the sides with the top - and visually we are used to the dano shape being sharply defined by contrasting side colour.
Obviously a different pickup (probably Kay if I was forced to guess).
Clearly a non-original neck (not a Kay - or at least no longer a Kay headstock shape).

If I was going to guess more precisely, I'd say it's a Subway guitars creation - that's exactly what they do - take old weird stuff (with an emphasis on Danos) and put it together to make something new and even weirder.

EDIT - Probably an old Yamaha neck if the headstock shape hasn't been re-cut.

Well, it has a reverend vibe because it is actually made from the danelectro/kay stuff that inspired Revernd.
It's not Reverend 'cause it doesn't look very well put together.
Reverend is a cross between a Danelectro and Kay but with quality.
