Then I very much recommend having a professional set it up for you. A good set-up can make a cheap bass feel like a million bucks. I have a guy that does my set-ups. When he did my Ibanez SR300, people thought it was a much more expensive bass. I told another local TBer about this guy, and after she had her bass done she said, "I finally got around to taking my bass to Rosado repairs. Super nice guy. He made the most minor tweaks and replaced my F-string with a smaller guage and now my bass feels and plays like butter." So if you find someone good, it's worth the price.
