What Boss Pedals Are In Your Setup?

On my main board I don't have any...but I did carry a CEB-3 and a TU-2 to smaller gigs for a long time...Recently though (last couple of months), I have replaced them with a Choralflange and a Korg DT-10.

Boss pedals I have used and liked were the CEB-3, TU-2, BF-2 (green label), GEB-7 and the LMB-3...

I'm down to just the CE5 right now. Have had TU2 (replaced w/Pitch Black for better bypass and accuracy), OC2 (replaced w/EBS Octabass but I still dig the OC2), CE2 (the CE5 has much of the same vibe but is more versatile), VB2 (just for a bit though...unfortunately...greatest pedal EVER), TR2 (replaced w/T-rex Tremster first and now Carl Martin tremovibe - the TR2 sounds alright though), SD1 (modded for bass, but a nice OD out of the box as well), DS1 (modded for bass, also kind of nice out of the box)...

Have tried several others but none that have made it to my boards for a longer period of time.

I own a TU-2, BF-2, and HM-2. The TU-2 is on my guitar player's board (replaced by Korg Pitchblack on my board) , the others are not being used at the moment. The BF-2 is a very nice sounding pedal, I just have not use for it in the music I'm playing. The HM-2 is an interesting animal, but I have other pedals that do similar things that I like the sound of better.

I only have a TU-2 now, I picked that up for $40.

I had a ODB-3 and a LMB-2 before.

I got rid of both because the ODB made my bass sound like I was playing through a tin can, the LMB-2 was just plain useless.

Get the TU-2, very useful, also the GEB-7 isnt bad, however I cant comment on the Chorus and Synth. I am sure there are better stuff.

Generally I dislike Boss stuff alot, there are a lot better pedals out there made by smaller companies.

I'm kinda old school when it comes to effects - I know there are TONS more out there, but I tend to stick with what I know and what's proven reliable to me over the years.

To quote Moe the bartender, " I was born a snakehandler, and I'll die a snakehandler". :D

I have the following:

OC-2: Great octaver. Works perfectly, and tracks very well

DD-3: Awesome Digital Delay

HM-2: Awesome Distortion, synthy fuzzy goodness

LS-2: Great Line selector. This pedal makes my sound what it is, before anything else

Compressor: I forget the model number, but it works very well.

BF-2: Great old school flanger

I only have the LS-2, the BF-2 and the compressor on the board. The others are sitting on a shelf.

I have 2 BOSS pedals: OC-2 (Octaver) and FT-2 (Dynamic Filter / Touch-Wah).

I like the OC-2 because it tracks reasonably well, and you have 2 octaves to play with and full control over both octaves and the direct signal. If you turn up oct 2 (two octaves below) and kills octave 1 and the direct signal, you can actually get a very sub-kinda-sound if you play above the 12th fret, which kind af resembles a synth sub-bass. Just an idea for experimenting.

I also love the FT-2, which BOSS don't make any longer for some reason. IMHO, it's the best touch-wah they ever made - it sounds so funky! :bassist:

You stole my thunder. Literally!
Those are the two I use/love. I bought both both around 1993 and will keep them forever. The FT-2 I had to plead with a guitar player to sell it. Works so much better on bass!
