It's not a question of loyalty to a brand. I'm a fan of good tone. I've played my current go to bass for 4 years and it's the best I've found, that I could afford. I'll happily upgrade it to any bass, within budget, that sounds better.

Fender in my Pic but I also have G&L's,Ernie Balls,Warwicks,Gibson's,Rickenbacker's.. Generally anything that works well and is consistent for day to day shows,studio work..

I don't know if it's brand loyalty but I have always preferred Rotosound RS66 rounds. I've tried all the others but probably prefer the Rotos because that's what I started on in the 80s.
I also have used many Tech 21 products, they always seem to market products for bassists. I still need to try out a Geddy2112di and the Steve Harris SH1. I currently use a VTBass500.

But still love my Genz Benz gear ( Streamliner 600 and uBer 2x12 ) even though they no longer exist as the same company.
Starting to build up some brand loyalty for Darkglass too.
