What brand is this???

I found a old bass in my friends basement, but I can't make out what brand it is. Anyone ever seen this type of bass and/or logo?

Can't say for certain, but the former USSR is the most likely place of origin.

The logo says Defil, which was a brand made in Poland. That's the "Baston" model.

"T-Bird", that was my first thought too. OR some other "east-block" country.
But as "cdef" wrote, its probably polish. I have too look into that a little further...

It's a Defil Baston

Manufactured in the '70-s in Poland by Defil.

Specifications:
Body type: solid body
Body: alder;
Neck: maple, bolt-on;
Fretboard: rosewood, 20 frets (vintage small),with zero fret;
Dot inlays: white plastic stripes with 3 white dots at 12th fret;
Pickguard: black plastic;
Pickups: 2 x single coil, own factory products;
Controls: 2 pickup selectors(on/off function), volume, tone, tone;
