what brand of cables do you use?

I use the monster bass cables. I know they are expensive but my aunt has a hook up so I get them dirt cheap. I recently was going to get a monster speakon cable for my new stack but my friend bought me a digiflex one and threw out the bill. I have to say it's crap and that one end is very stiff (its nuetrik) and it takes all your man power to push down that little button to twist then pull out.

Actually one time I broke my 30 feet monster bass cable. I didn'd wrap it through my strap as I was just jamming with myself at home. I stepped on it so hard that I just ripped the connector right out of my bass and the end was broken. I called monster and they had VERY helpful CS and I got the new cable free of charge. Except it took almost 3 weeks to get...

You know you can just take it to wherever you bought it (usually GC) and they'll replace it on the spot, right? That's the only really good thing about monster cables. The lifetime, no-questions warranty. The audio quality is kinda meh, they're not all that durable, and the plugs are slightly thicker than your standard 1/4", so they damage your jacks with enough use.

Well my aunt gets me the cables online so I don't really buy them at a store. and there are no GC's in Canada lol

So they damage jacks? is that just your opinion or a known fact?

My loudspeaker cables are made from 12, 14, or 16 AWG stranded copper wire from a hardware store, probably mostly made by Carol.

My instrument- and line-level cables are a mix of EWI, Horizon, ProCo, Whirlwind, Hosa, GC (their $9.99 promo cables), and maybe one or two others.

I believe they would compare equally to whatever anyone might call "the best." ;)

That's pretty much what I use. I may get fussy and use Canare speaker cable, or if I'm broke use low voltage garden lighting cable.

Of course it's Uli's solder shack.

If I didn't prefer to roll my own, I'd call Butch at Bayou.
