What Bridge is This?

Is it good? or, does it function properly like a normal bridge?

Thanks.

Looks like a “parts” bridge. The saddles look like they’re from an old Dimarzio bridge, made by Kahler IIRC, and the base plate is from something else. Or not.

This!

And also in case you didn't notice it is used as a string through body bridge, with no option for anchoring the string ball ends otherwise.

Also for this bridge to work properly you would need the intonation screws to be fairly close to the optimal length for the strings installed, as the screws otherwise quickly would end up either too short to grip the relatively short thread in the saddle parts, if saddles needing to go further forward, or hit the strings, if saddles needing to go further back (that assuming the thread for the intonation screws even goes the whole way through, otherwise they would just overall allow for an even smaller intonation adjustment margin).

It's not a parts bridge, in the mid 70s through the early 80s high mass was the order of the day. Available on lots of important basses, it may actually a Mighty Mite part. I remember these for sale to mod your bass with. Nice bridge its factory equipment on one of my vintage import basses, I'd leave it.
