What's wrong with a Mark Bass Cab?

Since you already have a MarkBass LT 800 I would try stacking a Markbass 210 on top of a Markbass 151. I have almost the same setup, but instead of a Markbass 210 I have a Mesa PH210, and instead of a MarkBass LT 800 I use a GK 1001rb II to power it. I like it and I am sure you would be able to more then be able to cut through. One of the guitarist that I play with uses some Marshall 412 set up, and he whines about my GK/Mesa/MB setup every time. The other guitarist plays through a H&K Tubemister 18 and a Orange 212 cab, and the GK/Mesa/MB holds its own against that set up. I think a Markbass 210/115 setup would sound better maybe, because both of those cabs have the same wattage (400/800 watts max) so they would be evenly matched. The way my cabs are is the Mesa PH210 is 600 watts and the MB 115 is 400 watts, IDK though it's probably not a big deal because like I said I sounds killer to me and everyone else that hears it checks it out and gives me a thumbs up. I am just a bass gear junkie, you probably better off listening to the more seasoned bass players here, that's why I'm here.

Exactly. Ditch the 115 and get another 410. OR like I said, get an 810. An 810 is a lot easier to move than 2 410s. They have wheels and a big ol' handle. I don't know why everyone whines about hauling them actually.

Just do it, it's only a 810 NBD. Just have a buddy help you if you can not wheel it to where you gotta be. I have 610's and I would rather push them then carry my other cabs around.

You could replace both the 4x10 and 1x15 cabs with a single Carvin BRX10.4 cab rated at 1,200 watts @4 Ohms. The cab is tuned and ported for Low B players.

For some reason, the SWR does really bad with my Stingray, which is active. It produces farty sounds when I play it. It does not produce the same farty sounds when I play a Jazz Bass though. I love the Stingray, so not willing to part with it.

Yes, my Xsonics is 49 pounds not my Ampeg Fridge! Love the 810 but hate hauling it, you have to have truck or van/wagon to do that. And yes, the 810 has a great big handle, because it has to at, what, 150lbs or something. My 810 will be hitting the sale rack very soon! Ill take a 3 way, 1000 watt 49lb cab any day over that. As always YMMV

A HPF cut the frequency below a certain point. Preserves some head room on your amp, it also limits your speakers excursion in frequencies that are not audible.

He explains it better than I can. The 3rd (newest) version is more optimized for electric bass use. Search on fdeck HPF, there are a lot of satisfied users.

Just scour craigslist for a good old used Peavey 215dbw. Awesome cab and speakers generaly had for 150-200 bucks.

IMO a good 410 is the best compromise of size and volume. It's the most speaker area within a given footprint. Many people are getting away with 212's now. If your band is really loud, 212's might be hard to cut through. I have used my Mesa WA Scout with extension 12 for a lot of gigs but when the bar fills up, I wish I had a bit more. My Berg AE410 leaves me wanting for nothing. Just turn it up and have fun. I use a Markbass LMT 800 with my AE410 most of the time. I really like the tones I can get out of that amp.

Totally agree! A good 410 is the minimum for a loud band...
