I have an eden wt-800c, I am selling my old stuff and want to get a new cab. I want this to be the last cab I will have to buy for a long time....I am looking at eden, schroeder, and epifani. Which of these would sound the best? I play 5 strings mostly so thunderous lows are a must! I play blues, classic rock, and some new rock here and there. A lot of ZZ Top, SRV, and Skynyrd. Help me in making a choice .....I need to :bassist:

Given your musical stylings, I voted for the Aguilar. It kicks some serious ass as a stand alone 410. That said, if you enjoy the voicing of Schroeder cabinets, the 210212 is alot of thump for the weight (in the light version). Good luck.

Weight is not so much the issue as is physical size. I don't really want to lug anything bigger than the size of a 410 and 110lbs or so max. Myself personally am leaning toward either the xst or the 210212. Do the light versions of the Schroeder sound different than the regular? What about the speaker material?

I just threw out all the other options to see what others thought but those are really my two choices that I am looking at unless otherwise convinced.

The Eden 'sound' is not at all comparable to the Schroeder 'sound'. If not familiar with Schroeder, I would demo a few cabs with your 800 before pulling the trigger. The 'Light' version Schro cabs are equipped with neo speakers, which are lighter than a ceramic magnet driver and (to some people) sound noticeably different, ie: more mids pronounced. If weight is no issue, then schlep the XST, as you obviously enjoy the Eden sound. I would personally rather carry 75 pounds vs. 100...

Anyone who plays an eden head have an opinion? I like the idea of 2 10's and 2 12's in one package. In general though most cabs and heads sound best when they are paired with the same brand from what I have noticed which is where the eden comes in........I could probably go test the eden but not the Schroeder as no stores carry them by me let alone the state....:help::bawl:

Sorry to sound pissy, but you've another thread running where people with experience have done exactly that, including myself. It's rude to ignore them and start another thread that asks essentially the same thing but ignores the advice of the others who have taken the time to try and help. Rant over, I just needed to vent a bit.
