What clip on tuners are you using?

I have a couple of these Ned Steinberger designed tuners on different basses.

I got two of these when people left them at jam session. I use them on my two DBs. The socket where the tuner’s ball end goes tends to break and I've also had the pad on the clamp fall off. Worth every penny I paid

I got this to use with my NS Radius because the jaws of my other tuners don't open wide enough to mount at the end of the neck.

All three of these are hard to read outdoors in the sun, so I keep an old school plug-in tuner with an actual needle in my gig bags.

After reading this thread I decided to try the TC Electronic Unitune. This thing is great! It's fast, easy to see in all kinds of lighting, and I feel like it's easier to get in tune as it has less wavering than other clip-on tuners I've tried. Thanks for the solid recommendation!

Next step, see how it does in a loud practice space.

Great choice. The brightness, solid build, and excellent tuning are what make it my favorite clip tuner. Don't get your hopes too high for loud environment performance though. It is kinda the achilles heel for these tuners. Just yell at everyone to STFU for ten seconds. That's what I do.

My biggest problem with my black UniTune is losing it. Then I find it and I'm super happy. Then lose it again. Repeat. So I own three now. One stays in my flight case, one in my gig bag and one on the shelf as a backup.

Yeah, I can't really get mad at a tuner that works from vibrations not being perfect in loud vibratory environment. They sure are handy though. And the Unitune is so much better than the others I've been using! I might have to copy your example and get a few backups.

Confirmed, mine are indeed Snark tuners. The Super Tight® model.

Ah, that's why the white one is a little more expensive @ Thomann.

+1 TC Unitune. Have been using this for a really long time. Quick yet calm enough, sensitive yet really good isolating the note you want to tune. At home, I put it on a table or shelf to tune woodwinds and such. Battery life is close to eternal.

If I'm leaving the tuner on the headstock even when not tuning then D'Addario NS Micro.

If I'm tuning and then removing the tuner right away I use a Boss TU-02 or a Guild clip on. The Boss has more colors and is easier to read. The Guild is cool because it automatically turns on when you put it on the headstock and then turns off when you take it off.
